Providing content to a course is one of the most common actions in Blackboard. We have multiple resources that can be added to the course body to build this content.
Let's clarify that we are talking about adding links to materials, tools, and files in the Course Content. The general process to add any item is to click the + in the course body and select what we want to add from the dropdown.
-
Create will open a side panel where you can choose new items
- Folders and learning modules in which to group and organize different contents, resources, etc.
- Documents where you can add resources such as text, files, images, video, and even self-assessment questions.
- SCORM will allow you to add and configure a SCORM package to your course.
- Copy Content will allow us to copy existing content from other courses we manage. If you have copied content from another course or edition, it can be very useful to batch edit that content to adjust dates, visibility, or even delete elements you do not need.
- Upload will open a window where you can select files to upload from your computer
- Content Market gives us access to third-party course tools that we can add to our courses, such as Kaltura or Pronto.
- Cloud Storage allows us to select files from a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Be careful, this means we upload a copy of a file stored in the cloud to the course instead of from our PC, not that we link the resource.
- With Content Collection and Learning Object Repository we can add files already existing in those repositories to the course.
