Activity is a page that allows users to view a dynamic list of recent activity in their courses and organizations on the platform. This includes notifications of new messages or posted content, as well as grade updates or important events in the course.

It also allows us to view information without having to navigate: most of the items in it are actionable. If you click them, you will go directly to the corresponding page/item without having to navigate.

Uses of the Activity Feed

This is a very powerful tool for students and instructors that categorizes and organizes assignments, events, and other information based on importance and dates.

This can be very helpful for students if, as instructors, we configure our events, activities, and assignments with start/end or due dates.

What do we gain from this?

Times have changed. Searching for information and specific content in digital systems is a task that takes time. Therefore, we save a lot of time by accessing the resource directly from Activity (assignment, forum post, grade, or event) by simply clicking the notification.

This allows us to manage our time better and make our monitoring and work more efficient.
