This feature gives us the opportunity to see and experience our course exactly as a student would, including testing exams and activities and receiving grades. Additionally, we can save the work of this fictitious student between sessions and delete their data once we finish checking everything so that their data is not included in reports, statistics, and more.
To start the student view, you need to click on student preview in the upper right corner of your course or subject.
That is why we always recommend analyzing the functionality and, when everything is ready, deleting the data.

To enter, click the option on the right side of the screen. You will see an indicator that you are in preview mode in the form of a bar.
To exit the view, look for the Exit button in the upper right corner, which will prompt a question and two options to choose from:
- Save this student's progress. This is useful when you plan to continue configuring the platform at another time, or when you want to see the progress of an assessment for a student. Or to test how resources that are conditionally released over time become available.
- Discard progress. This clears the data and grades of this user and resets it for the next time you want to use this functionality.
