The options for managing activities are accessed by entering the activity and then clicking on the gear in the right-hand menu.
From this menu, we have access to multiple functions. The menu for the different activities and resources is similar; here we will see the common points for all elements. Remember that some simple resources, like the label or the page, do not have this menu. Others, like Folders, do.
Settings will take us to the activity editing page.
Locally assigned roles allows us to select certain users and change their role for this activity only. For example, we could select two students from the class to moderate a question and answer forum.
To do this, click on the role to add them to and select from the Potential users box those you want to convert. Then click Add.
In Permissions you can configure permissions for the different roles and users within an activity. For example, we might want no user with the student role to be able to delete their own messages, while other users such as teachers can. In Permissions we can perform this action by selecting for each listed permission which roles are allowed and which are prohibited. To add a role, click the +. To remove it, click the trash can.
Check permissions allows us to locate a user and see what permissions they have in this specific activity.
In Filters we can select which filters are applied and which are not to a specific activity. For example, you might have an activity where students must create a video and upload it. You could therefore enable the Kaltura Media control so they can use the capabilities of this tool in this particular activity, even if it is disabled in the rest of the activities.
Logs will list on the screen all accesses and interactions that have occurred in the activity.
In Backup we can perform a backup that includes only this single activity, and in Import we can import it.
