A learning module is a resource within a course, similar to a folder, but it allows us to place a series of elements in sequential order. Imagine a “book,” where each page doesn’t have to be text; it can be a quiz, a forum, a video, or whatever you want it to be.
Adding a Learning Module
When creating the module, you will see a Forced sequence checkbox. Checking this will require the student to progress through the module’s elements in order.
You can also add an image to accompany the module, making the course body more visually appealing.
Click Add an image and follow the steps in the dialog that appears.
You can upload images from your device, from Unsplash using keywords, or even generate images with AI to add to your module.
Once chosen, click Next and select the part of the image to be used. You can zoom in by sliding the horizontal marker.
Click Save to finish.
Generating Learning Modules with AI
If you prefer, you can generate learning modules using AI, saving time when creating your course structure.
To do this, click the + in the course body and select Generate modules automatically. Configure the parameters to use for generating the modules using the options on the left, then click Generate.
The generated modules will appear in the main area according to your options. Click on each one you want to keep and then click Add to course to finish.
Adding Elements Within the Module
Once the module is created, elements are added in the same way as they are added to the course body. You can even use folders within modules to create subsections.
Converting a Folder into a Module and Vice Versa
You can convert folders into modules and modules into folders. Just click the three dots on the element you want to convert and select Change to learning module / Change to folder.
