Open LMS | Assessment: Quizzes – Support and administration guides

The Quiz activity type in Open LMS is used to create exams that will save a grade. We have multiple options for creating them.

Do not confuse this activity with other similar ones such as surveys or polls (both feedback and opinion quizzes). Each has its own purpose and we will look at them separately.

Creating a Quiz

Let's add a quiz to one of the sections of a course. Click on Add an activity or resource and select Quiz in the Assessment tab. Confirm your choice by clicking Add.

Depending on the language pack used, you might sometimes find it as "Test" instead of "Quiz"; in any case, pay attention to the icon ;)

Now we will start filling in the details as with any other activity. In the case of quizzes, you can configure many options to control grading, timing, restrictions, etc.

After that, all that remains is to add the questions to have it ready.
