Once the assignments are set up and visible, students will be able to access the instructions, prepare the file or files, and submit their work in Blackboard.
In the case of groups, one group member will be responsible for uploading the response files to the assignment. This submission, called an “Attempt,” will appear for all team members, who will automatically receive the same grade when it is scored, although you can later adjust the grades individually.
To make a submission, the student accesses the assignment and adds text and/or uploads files either by using the text editor options or by dragging and dropping the files. Then, they can click Submit to send the assignment attempt.
If the assignment allows multiple attempts, a student or group can resubmit an attempt later by following the same procedure. Although multiple attempts can be submitted, remember that there is only one grade, which depends on how we configure the assignment: first attempt, last attempt, average, highest grade achieved, or lowest.
The student can access the assignment directly from the activity stream, the To Do list, and also from the calendar, in addition to accessing the assignment within the course content. By clicking on the notification, they go directly to submit their work.
