From the gradebook, we have access to multiple settings:
- Grading Schemes. Schemes allow us to assign a value to different percentages and display them to users. For example, we could have a "faces" scale from happiest to least happy according to the percentage achieved in a certain activity. Here you can see more information about the use of grading schemes.
- Student Performance. This section allows us to configure and identify students with alerts due to a drop in grades or lack of access to the course.
- Automatically Assigned Zeros. This option allows us to activate the system to mark activities not submitted by the student as 0 once the due date has passed.
- Student Visibility allows us to show or hide students who do not have access to the course (for example, if their enrollments have been withdrawn).
- Item Management. In this option, we can modify some characteristics of the columns, such as the category they are associated with or their visibility for the teacher.
- Grading Categories. Categories allow us to group similar items in the gradebook and then use them to perform calculations.
- Rubrics. Here you can see all the rubrics existing in the course, as well as access their creation and editing. More information about rubrics.
- General Grade Annotations. This allows us to add annotations that replace the overall course grade, for example, for an exempt or validated person.
