In some cases, we may need users who access the site to consent to the site policies. We can activate these policies from Site administration > Users > Privacy and policies > Policy settings, with two different options: using a URL or using the site policy plugin, which allows us to add the policies directly within Open LMS.
Select the policy handler according to which one you prefer to use:
Linking to policies described at an existing URL is much simpler than working with the Open LMS site policy tool. If you decide to use this option, simply add the URL for users and guests, if they are different, in Policy settings, leaving the handler set to Default.
When accessing the site, users will be shown this page and will have to accept its terms before continuing.
If you prefer to activate Open LMS policy modules, you will have to configure those policies after activating the Policies (tool_policy) option in the handler.
At this point, you will have to create the policies from Site administration > Users > Privacy and policies > Manage policies and add each one of them. With this option, you can see who has accepted the policy, versioning can be enabled (and you can see who accepted which version), and much more. You can read more about this Open LMS policy module here.
