It is important to know how to verify the authenticity of issued certificates. This action can be carried out by the institution's staff from within the course itself, but certification can also be opened to anyone, allowing, for example, others (even without access to OpenLMS) to verify that the certificate was issued.
Verifying a Certificate
Access the certificate added to your course, and open the course administration menu by clicking the gear icon. Click Certificate Administration > Verify Certificate.
You only need to enter the certificate code in the enabled field and click verify. Then it will show you a positive/negative message.
Remember: for certificates to issue this code, you must have added the CODE element in the certificate design.
If we want a certificate to be verifiable by anyone, we must edit the certificate from Edit Settings and enable the field Allow everyone to verify certificates. In this way, you could, for example, include the verification URL on the diploma so that anyone (without needing to log in to the platform) could perform the check.
