Blackboard allows us to restore courses from backup copies, either automatic or previously made and downloaded offline.
To restore a backup, the first step is to go to Admin Panel > Courses > Courses and click Create Courses > Restore.
This will open a new screen where you need to fill in the ID of the restored course. Remember that it must be unique and that the backup file must be restored to a new course.
Next, we will choose the file by clicking Browse Local Files if it is a file we have on our PC, or Browse Content Collection if it is a backup we have saved in Content.
Optionally, we will choose a node to add the course to, and click Submit.
Uploading backup files can be slow if the file is large. Also remember that if you have set a size quota for courses and the restoration creates a course larger than that quota, the restoration will fail. If you are working with large files, you need to disable the quota, restore, and then enable the quota again.
