The institutional hierarchy is a feature of Blackboard that allows us to create a structure in our environment that mirrors the structure of our institution, and enables us to assign resources to the different units that compose it.
By using the hierarchy, we create nodes and subnodes that represent the different areas, campuses, or departments, and assign to each of them the courses, users, and tools that correspond to them, as well as administrators who can manage only those elements that are assigned to their managed node.
