An organization is a structure similar in form and function to a course, but it is not a course. We will have a familiar environment, with familiar tools, and it works just as we know it, but it will be listed separately from the “real” courses.

Why? Because we might need an environment similar to a course that does not actually exist in the official list of offered courses and that we want to keep separate from them.

The configuration, options, etc., are the same as in courses, but they appear separately, in a separate menu item: “Organizations.” This way, groups and projects that are not courses but require a similar space can be managed and viewed separately from courses.

Ideas:

• Students and teachers working on a joint project
• Student delegation
• Book club
• Teacher training
• Professors from the art history faculty

Organizations can be created using the same methods as courses, and they have no other differences from them.
