Yes, it is possible to have different URLs and login pages. Blackboard is multi-brand. This means we can have different customizations and different URLs within a single instance.

Customizations or brands can be assigned to a specific institutional role, but to have different login pages for the different brands, we will need to assign each brand to a different URL.

To do this, create a CNAME record in your DNS so that the desired URL points to your Blackboard instance. For example:

campus.mypage.com CNAME mypage.blackboard.com

Then submit a case to Anthology support so that the URLs can be added to the SSL certificate. Blackboard will provide us with some CNAME records to add to our DNS to validate the SSL certificate associated with it. We must not delete the DNS records while we still need that URL.

Afterwards, we will check that the URL has been added to the hosts configuration, adding it if it is not present:

Finally, we will edit the theme to assign it to the specific URL.

Go to Admin Panel > Brands and click on the name of the brand you want to edit.

Enter the hostname in the box and save. You can even click Add another hostname so that the brand is visible from more than one URL.

Now you can check the Customize box for the login page and upload a new page.

You can finish configuring the rest of the brand elements and click Save to complete.
