One of the most interesting features available when using the institutional hierarchy is precisely the ability to activate certain tools only for some nodes. This way, if a university department has acquired a certain product, its use can be restricted by enabling the tool for that particular department's node.

To enable or disable tools on a node, go to Admin Panel > Communities > Institutional Hierarchy and select the node in the left panel. Then select the Tools tab. In the list of tools, enable or disable the specific tools for this node and save.
