When we start preparing the next edition of a course, the need may arise to reuse files, documents, or even exams and activities from previous editions.

Being able to retrieve and copy files and elements from other courses is a quick and easy task. You just need to be enrolled as instructors or have a similar access profile in both courses: the source and the destination.

You can copy all the content or select specific elements from the other courses you teach, as well as import packages.

In the course body, click on the three-dot icon to open the menu.

You will find two options that we will review separately:

• Import Content. This option will allow you to upload a package exported from another course, selecting what you want to import from all the content in that package.
• Copy Items. This option will allow you to copy from entire courses to folders, modules, rubrics, question banks, or even specific items like a file or activity.
